Bio
I am the Inaugural David Warco Faculty Fellow and Associate Professor of Information Systems and Technology in the Palumbo Donahue School of Business at Duquesne University. I am also an affiliated faculty with Albert P. Viragh Institute for Ethics in Business and Grefenstette Center. I am a passionate scholar, data scientist and educator in leveraging the power of scientific data analyses and computational methods on addressing various societal and economic issues.
I received Ph.D. from George Washington University School of Business. Recently, I have been interested in studying online user-generated contents, Healthcare IS and economics, information disclosure and transparency, and gender related issues on e-commerce and social media platforms. My works have been published in Journal of MIS, PLoS ONE, Decision Support Systems, Information & Management, IEEE TIFS, Electronic Commerce Research and Applications, IEEE Computer, etc.
I have served multiple journals and international workshops and conferences in a variety of roles including committee member, associate editor, session chair, among others. I am currently serving as an Associate Editor of Information and Management.
At Duquesne, I am the founder and faculty director of IST mentorship program at Duquesne. This annual program connects Duquesne IST students with senior managers, directors and CIOs in the region. I teach introductory information systems and business intelligence in the undergraduate program and behavioral analytics in the graduate program.
